Manao Thai Dictionary helps learners grasp an unfamiliar Thai word, understand how it is used, distinguish it from similar words, and notice important cautions.
Our goal is that by the end of an entry, learners feel ready to use the word themselves. We hold both accuracy and clarity to a high standard.
Information in a learner-friendly order
Each entry begins with the main meaning and a summary, followed by individual senses, examples, detailed explanations, synonyms, and cautions. Even when an entry contains a lot of information, learners can understand the overall picture first.

We explain the central idea shared by different senses instead of presenting only a list of translations.
Usage and distinctions
Entries cover typical situations, differences from similar words, and uses that may sound unnatural or require caution.

Every pronunciation recording we publish is recorded by a native Thai speaker. None uses synthetic speech (AI). We generally aim to provide three to five examples for each sense so learners can see how that specific meaning works in a sentence.

A native Thai editor reviews every entry's Thai meanings, natural usage, examples, and pronunciation. A Japanese editor reviews the Japanese definitions and learner-focused explanations.
